My work-in-progress of Bakara from Mass Effect 3. My scanner is shitty, so most of the detail is overlooked *scanner-rage* Better to look at in real life, and further away. I’ve decided to call it ‘Queen of Tuchanka’, hence her regal look :)

I didn’t like the fact BioWARE covered up all the female Krogan (like they couldn’t even be bothered to explore sexual dimorphism in species), so I tried to give her appearance and clothing my own touch - it’s inspired by Egyptian and Persian fashion/art. I attempted to keep some of her original design in there too (i.e: the patterns on her clothing).

I was disappointed also - would have been fine with me if lady krogan were very similar to the males aside from proportions and/or crest shape, but for goodness' sake don't hide them, that's cheating!

I like what you've got going here so far! Nice detail on the clothing.

I know, right? In biology some species show extreme sexual dimorphism, while others do not - I too wouldn't have minded if they were near identical to the males, so long as we actually got to see their features.

Thanks! It's taking forever with the detail, but I'm enjoying the challenge.

Oh, she's gorgeous! :D

And I feel your pain with scanners. You'd think by now scanners would have better quality, but noooo.

Thank you! :)
My scanner's a new model as well, so I was expecting better quality from it. Damn technology.

Thanks :D Considering this is my first time drawing krogan, this comment means a lot :)

You are most welcome. :)
I want to pay respect for your amazing talent.
I´ve never drawn a Krogan and I think I would fail, so I don´t try it. :)

Their body shape I find relatively easy; it's just their damn faces that are the challenge. So many lines and areas to shade...
You should give it go; it's challenging but we can only get better with practice :)
